Let Google Calendar send an SMS Reminder to Your Cell Phone!
![]() |
| Away from your desk? Google Calendar will text your appointment reminders! |
- Go to your calendar page and click on the Gear at the top right-hand corner and select Settings. Once on the Settings page, click on Mobile Setup at the very top.
- Enter your country and telephone number. A Google Calendar verification code will be sent to your phone. Enter the verification code and you will be taken to Reminders and Notifications. Here you may choose how your calendar notifies you by default (plus other options such as a Daily agenda, where you may opt to receive an email with your agenda every day at 5:00am in your current time zone).
- Now, when editing an event on your calendar, you will be able to select SMS in the pull-down menu next to Reminders at the bottom of the event.
Note: You may incur charges for SMS messages from your mobile carrier.

Print your Google Calendar!
![]() |
| Print or create a PDF of your Google Calendar! |
Here's how:
1. Go to the calendar you want to print or save
2. Click on MORE and Print
3. You will automatically be in Print Preview and you can make adjustments as needed
4. If you'd like to convert your view to a PDF, click on Save As
*Note: I needed to expand the window to full size in Chrome to see the Save As option on the bottom right corner
I love being able to print out specific calendars and agenda in Google! Sometimes being able to hand a calendar page to a colleague, print out my personal calendar or having the ability to write notes on the week's work agenda is helpful!
